We,..... with other words my girlfriend and I made a little vacation from 6. March 2015 to 13. March 2015 in "Villa General Belgrano". We had chosen "Hotel Blumig" because the location was perfect; not far away from the main city, restaurants and all the attractions of the city "Villa General Belgrano" !!! There was another Hotel we had in mind, "Hotel Chamonix", but this hotel was a little bit too far away from the city. Well, and the end it was the right decision, because the location of "Hotel Blumig" was just perfect !!! The staff was unbelievable friendly, and very helpful from the beginning, we had not to ask to bring the luggage to the room, they did it immediately. It was the most friendly stuff I ever met in a hotel in South & Central-America (except "Trump-Ocean-Club in Panama-City), I was really impressed !!! We had a nice suite, room # 203, very spacious, very big, with king-size bed, own jacuzzi, minibar (always full and even the light worked) and a big flat-screen TV. The only thing that was not so good was the wifi-connection, but this was not the fault of the hotel, because they had the best modem I ever saw in a hotel, it was the fault of the provider. There is just one provider in "Villa General Belgrano", and this provider is famous for the bad service he has to offer. This is a very sad story, and I hope the people and business-people of "Villa General Belgrano" are able to change this very soon !!! The hotel has three outside pools, one pool is heated, this was very nice. The hotel has also a very nice garden where you can relax between all the trees and the sound of the birds, its just wonderful. The hotel has a wonderful spa and a sauna. The hotel has an underground parking garage, its just great. The service is just perfect, and the hotel is clean like a first class hotel in europe, I was impressed !!! The food is okay, it could be better, but you can't complain because you have really everything to have a wonderful breakfast. It would be nice if you could eat the cornflakes out of a bowl and not out of a coffee-cup, and it would be great if they would offer real juice, but this are the only things they could make better !!! The phone-service is great, the fax-service is great, the receptionist is friendly and able to speak english or german, so I was impressed again !!! Not far from "Hotel Blumig" is the main city. I recommend the restaurant "Ottilia". They offer wonderful german food, Sauerkraut mit Frankfurter Wurstchen, Kartoffelsalat and Leberwurst, all the good food from Germany. You should try the bacon sauce with Filet-mignon, or the Trucha with almonds and beacon-sauce, the Salmon with cheese-sauce and nuts, or the german Sauerbraten with pickle and onion-sauce, its a dream. This restaurant offers its own beer, real german beer. Its a great place for good food. On saturday/the week-end they offer live-music, german folk-music, with a good accordion player who's able to make good improvisations, "Restaurant Ottelia" is one of the best restaurants in the city of "Villa General Belgrano" !!! I recommend also the coffee-store "Cafe Rissen" where you can eat a real german "Schwarzwaelderkirsch-Torte" and a real "german "Gedeckter Apfelkuchen" I was drinking some hot chocolate, with french-cognac, cream and a piece of white chocolate and I have to say it was one of the best hot chocolates I ever drank in my life !!! You can buy some luxury chocolate and truffels with different taste in "Barillin", a good and wonderful place for this kind of stuff, but I would recommend the chocolate more than truffels, I probably eat too much truffels fro"Switzerland"/"Germany"/"Belgium"in my life, so i' m a little bit spoiled when it comes to this issue !!! Well, it was one of our best vacations in the last years, and I would recommend "Villa General Belgrano" much more than "Bariloche" or "Villa Angostura" in the south of "Argentina". The south of "Argentina" offers a nice landscaping and great nature, but the hotels and the service is destroyed by the government. In "Villa General Belgrano" its the completely opposite, this place is run by "german", "austrian" and "swiss" immigrants and this alone says it all !!! Aaaahhh,.....our check out was at 10.30 am, our bus home to "Buenos-Aires" was at 7.45 pm in the evening, so we had a lot of time and didn't know what to do and where to stay, but "Hotel Blumig" offered us another room for free, so we could make a little siesta. Thanks for this nice service, Hotel Blumig. A lot of thanks to the manager and his wonderful staff !!! We will come again !!!
