Very happy with Hotel Jen and would definitely stay there again. Good price room in heart of the city, short walk to everywhere you want to be, right next to central train station, safe area and plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops surrounding it. The check-in and check-out process were both super efficient and professional and our standard room was nice - bigger than most standard rooms, well furnished, modern, clean, good view and just 'felt good'. Money well spent - thank you Hotel Jen.

“Good location, pleasant staff”

Hotel Jen has a great central location adjacent to the transit centre and close to the city centre and parklands. Good restaurant and rooms. Unfortunately the hotel is closing this month for redevelopment.

“Sad to see it go”

I booked Hotel Jen Brisbane months ahead for a conference on the premises. To my horror on my arrival was its impending closure on the 15th of this month for redevelopment. How sad. Heard that it’s been renovated not that long ago - I love those murals all over just like anywhere else in Brisbane… Mehr

I booked Hotel Jen Brisbane months ahead for a conference on the premises. To my horror on my arrival was its impending closure on the 15th of this month for redevelopment. How sad. Heard that it’s been renovated not that long ago - I love those murals all over just like anywhere else in Brisbane - but you do see signs of wearing out (mushy smells in the gym?) hidden somewhere. Location is supreme - just a minute’s walk from Brisbane Transit Centre/Roma Street Station so you basically just hop off the plane, take the AirTrain from the airport and you’re almost right at the hotel door. I arrived on an early flight and front desk staff were happy to let me store my bags until check-in time. I had a Queen size room all to myself - which was huge! From my room I got to have a little glimpse of the view of Brisbane River which was lovely to wake up to. And I made the best choice of my stay - having breakfast at Nest Restaurant & Bar at the hotel. Alright I wasn’t spoilt for choice but as a traveller on a plant-based diet I was more than delighted at what was on offer at a very reasonable price (AUD20). Now I gotta have a hard time figuring out where to stay next time I come to Brisbane...😢

Hotel was central for all amenities in Brisbane, and was in easy reach to walk to Queen Street for shopping. Hotel was central for all amenities in Brisbane, and was in easy reach to walk to Queen Street for shopping. The hotel is right next to the transit station, unfortunately our room overlooked this, but as we were only in the room to sleep it didn't bother us. There was a sign in reception stating that the hotel was due to close in the middle of December. Yes the hotel is tired and in need of refurbishment, but the staff seemed to be putting on a brave face even though had no job to look forward to. Restaurant called The Nest was pleasant but had no atmosphere, food was good but not exceptional
