Die Gäste des Hotels Decameron Isla Coral sagen Folgendes: We really enjoyed our stay at Decameron Isla Coral and felt it offered exceptional value for the price. The food was good for an all-inclusive in this range. The main restaurant is a standard buffet, but there were rotating Mexican-themed nights that added some variety. The à la carte restaurant was a welcome change, with well-presented food and impeccable service which was nice break from the buffet atmosphere. The staff throughout the resort were genuinely lovely and welcoming. A special shout-out to Laura, our server, who was particularly wonderful and made every interaction a pleasure. The beach is huge, and reminded us of Tofino but with warm water. Compared to the the Los Cocos sister resort, Isla Coral has considerably more beach in front, which we really appreciated. One of the best parts of staying here is how easy it is to walk along the beach about 15 minutes to the sister Decameron resorts and stop in for a drink or even a meal. The resort itself is compact and easy to get around, which was nice. However, more lounge chairs could be provided, both at the pool and on the beach. Beach loungers are often reserved early with towels, and if you’re not there by around 9:00 a.m., it’s unlikely you’ll find a lounger until late afternoon (around 5:00–5:30 p.m.). There are boogie boards and kayaks available to sign out, and the water has lots of tropical fish, which was great. Be aware there are many beach vendors, not aggressive, but very frequent. We preferred to shop in nearby stores instead. There’s a small market in the town square nearby on Mondays, which was fun to walk through bringing a nice selection of artisen crafts. We also signed out the bikes and rode to La Peñita, which was a great outing. Their market is on Thursdays and is well worth the trip. A few practical tips for future guests: It is easier to get beer or soda than water, so we really needed the one 1.5l bottle of water they provided in your room each day. Taxis were very reasonable, 55 pesos to La Peñita or to restaurants at the far end of the beach. It did not seem possible to exchange Canadian dollars locally. There is no currency exchange at the front desk except the first day we arrived and we found no ATMs in Guayabitos. We had to go to La Peñita to a BBVA bank to withdraw pesos which was hard to get small bills. Buying small items at local shops was the easiest way it seemed to get smaller peso bills for tipping the great resort staff. Overall, it was a relaxing stay with friendly staff, a beautiful beach, and excellent value. If you arrive prepared with pesos and resonable expectations, it’s a very enjoyable place to vacation.

“Great value, friendly staff, and a beautiful stretch of beach”

We really enjoyed our stay at Decameron Isla Coral and felt it offered exceptional value for the price. The food was good for an all-inclusive in this range. “2 wonderful weeks”

Myself and my travel buddy ( both early 60 females) were at this resort from January 7 to 21. We loved this resort, it was perfect us for the same reason others might hate it. Before my review I want to say research before you go anywhere. I have read reviews and can’t believe people complain about things they should check before they book. Example. 90 minutes from airport to resort. This is a small resort, 141 rooms in a U shape with opening towards beach. We loved this as it was not far if you wanted to pop up to your room from the beach. It is right in a little town that is very safe to walk in day or night. This is not a party hotel. You can have a blast, drink dance and have fun but it is not for young party people. Everything closes around 1 am. There are 4 bars: lobby, pool , beach and one above the snack bar overlooking the ocean. The animation staff stays mostly in the pool area doing activities such aerobics and fun games for all ages. Food. We found the food pretty good. There was a omelette station for breakfast with a very nice lady making omelettes to order. They had fruit and cheeses, waffles ect. Butter was not always available. Lunch was a variation of chicken , fish and sometimes pork chops that tasted to us like ham or peameal bacon. Lots of choices. There were also many ingredients to make a salad. They also served ice cream at lunch, this was delicious. For dinner they had theme nights: Mexican, Italian and Chinese, remaining nights were international. There is always a pasta station. One night I copped up fish , tomatoes and feta cheese from other areas and they put it in my pasta. There were always tacos. I would recommend that you not wait until 8 to go to dinner. When at all inclusive resorts I never eat out of the “ bins” the made to order is usually better. They had 2 kinds of home made soup at every lunch and dinner, highly recommended. There were times when items on the salad bar or bread area were empty, instead of waiting to get home to complain about this on a review please just ask a worker and they will bring more out. We did 2 ala cart meals never our resort and the second at the Marina resort ( more on that place later. ) Both were very good even though the pasta in my cannelloni was really a soft toco shell lol. The second one was seafood and was spectacular! You stay at one hotel and have use of the other Decameron resorts you can walk to on the beach. We walked over 2 days and hung out at the quiet pool at Coco, then had dinner at Marina one nice and buffet at Coco the other. All of the activities, announcements and shows are in Spanish only, signage and menus have English. Remember this is basically a Mexican tourist destination. I almost lost my cool a few times when fellow Canadians said “ there are too many locals” what do you expect you are in Mexico. Enjoy the real experience or go to the Mayan Riviera or Cancun. Staff. I can not remember everyone’s name but all we felt with were amazing. The ones that stuck out were Juan, at front of hotel that quickly became our friend and security also Dannie in same department. Sarahli a bartender and the slim male bartender who spoke perfect English and can’t forget the buffet waitress who alway had a huge happy smile. In closing I would have to say this is a perfect resort to visit if you are going to relax in the sun on a lovely beach, eat , drink and enjoy the true Mexican experience. Remember what you payed for the trip and what that would get you at home. We paid $125.00 a night for 14 days all in!
