Pinfold Cottage, what a find! Situated in Fulford on the edge of the city of York and on a major bus route to the city centre and the premium outlets. If you like a walk then it's straightforward and flat and the area looks safe. There are many best things about this B&B ,the locality , the quality of our room, the excellent included breakfast , free parking and not forgetting the host Jack ,who couldn't have been more helpful. We had a wonderful 2 night stay in York including a day at the races but the accommodation is what made it all worth while, We will be back the next time we are York and look forward to it . Our second stay at Pinfold cottage and I'm certain there'll be more in the not to distant future. Jack and Ellie have a lovely cottage a short journey by bus, the bus stop is right outside, or car into York city centre. Carparking is available and free, The rooms are slightly different but are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Tea & coffee making facilities and cold drinks are in the room and they've got a communal room on entrance with breakfast items for your convenience. There's excellent communication with hosts and Jack is full of helpful advice on York and surrounding area. Don't hesitate to book here and book through their website. Will look forward to our next stay.

This is the sort of place that I always hope to find. Independently run, spotlessly clean, friendly and above all, thoughtful. Very few are this good. This is the sort of place that I always hope to find. Independently run, spotlessly clean, friendly and above all, thoughtful. Very few are this good. Both the university and the city center are within walking distance although buses are regular and go into the city from opposite the cottage. The hosts are what make this place truly special though. They kept the fridge well stocked with cold drinks which was really appreciated in the heat and I even had an email on the morning of my arrival saying that my room was ready early if I wanted to check in early. Unfortunately, I didn't read it until later, but it was a lovely gesture. Parking is at the back of the property but it's easy to miss, especially if you have to turn before driving past the cottage. Breakfast was a nice continental selection.
